DUB HEEZY (Chico, CA/ Saint Louis, MO)

Having 10+ years as a selector in Reggae music under his belt, Heezy has defined himself as one of the top diverse DJs in the sound. Pushing a sound he calls “Reggae Influenced Bass Music”. He believes “Dub” music was the first electronica music that was ever created. His ears grew up listening to legends like King Tubby, Lee “Scratch” Perry, and Sly & Robbie. He studied the sound to its deepest history, and his music knowledge of the sound was paved by reggae legend selectors (Papa Ray, Ital-K, Red I Hi-Fi, Michael Kuelker) in Saint Louis, MO where he learned how to become a DJ. Heezy’s primed style of mixing tracks has allowed him to share the stage with Ziggy Marley, Taj Weeks, Fortunate Youth, Josh Henrichs, SOJA, Giant Panda Guerilla Dub Squad, Skream, Benga, and more.
